Hazaribagh (Jharkhand), Sept 8, 2009 (PTI) Marriages are not only made in heaven, but in jail too.
And interestingly this wedding was solemnised in a district jail following a written order by a court which defused a bitter row between the families of the girl and the boy who eloped with her.
The chief judicial magistrate of a court in Koderma district intervened to see there was a happy ending after the boy Arman Ali was incarcerated on the charge of outraging the modesty of Rufi Razak from Bihar’s Nawada district.
The nikah ceremony was performed inside the jail premises yesterday at 12 noon yesterday followed by a traditional bhoj after the judge said the boy will be granted bail only if he exchanges nuptial vows with the girl.
